Fernanda Díaz-Basteris' edited book, Latinx Comics Studies, received the 2026 Comics Studies Society Edited Book Prize at the Society’s annual conference hosted at The Ohio State University’s Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum.

The book is also nominated for the 2026 Eisner Award for Best Academic/Scholarly Work. Dr. Díaz-Basteris is attending the Eisner Awards ceremony at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 24, where the winners will be announced. Best of luck to Dr. Díaz-Basteris!
