The Center for Ethnic Studies is proud to announce they are the recipients of a 2020-2021 Global Arts and Humanities Discovery Theme Centers and Institutes Grant!

Our project, Building Anti-Racist Ohio, is a trans-disciplinary project that brings together faculty and students from multiple fields to study and engage with the art, narratives, and activism through which communities of color face the pandemic and struggle for social justice. The project will build upon the active programming and engagement initiatives of CES in order to revisit core theoretical and methodological questions in light of the pandemic, while simultaneously growing our connections to the Ohio community. This grant will support socially-engaged research that will benefit the community through shared resources.
